A paper bag pinata is an alternative to a paper mache pinata, which is very time consuming. Fill a grocery size paper bag with candy and stuff any remaining space with wadded up newspaper. Glue strips of tissue paper 4 inches wide around the bag; make sure the strips overlap so the bag is not showing. Create fringes by cutting halfway up each strip of tissue paper about 2 inches apart. Secure the top of the bag by punching holes across the top of the bag and lacing it closed with yarn or string.
