2.) Tie between The Owl & Yoh Takami
The Owl- He's the martyr, the shining ray of hope. Sure, he went crazy for a second there, but he bounced right back! Plus, he's got some awesome tricks up his sleeve, and the whole vocal cord thing... sad but COOL!
Takami- His methods may be dishonorable, but his motives aren't. Later on in the story I really get to like him. Sure, he's messed up and ought to teach his sis a lesson, but his unwavering and naiive faith in her is nice.
3.) Tough one! Tie between Shiro and Ganta.
Shiro- She's naiive and sweet at times (as far as we know) and is always protecting Ganta devotedly. Her nature is sweet on the outside, but then there's the mystery behind her. She might wind up behing a demented phsyco! Who knows? She's a fascinating character.
